All Smiles:)

So, here is an update on things... Haylie is doing so much better on this new medicine- thank you new doctor! She still spits up sometimes, but it isn't as bad as it was before. She is so much happier now! She only fusses when shes hungry, tired, or wants to be held- so she is a normal baby now, YAY!! The only thing is she is sick right now, I feel so bad for her. She is coughing pretty bad and she is really stuffy. Hopefully she will get better soon, I hate when she isn't feeling good. She has been smiling so much now, I love it! I cant wait until she starts to laugh. She is starting to love the bath too. She starts kicking her legs to splash, it is so funny. She will concentrate on what she is doing then kick really hard. Chris got a video of it, but its mostly of her bottom half, so a little pornographic- we will have to get one of her whole body instead. So we are for sure going to Texas. I am really excited!! Chris starts driving on April 13th and Haylie and I fly out on April 16th. I hope she is really good for the flight. My last day of work is April 3rd. I cant wait, its getting so hard being away from Haylie. We will be gone until August or depending on how things go into Sept. The apartments we are going to live in are really nice, they are small, but brand new. Well not much more is happening, I just thought I would do a small post!

Just a Few Things...

So we took Haylie to the new doctor today, it was so much better! She doesn't weigh almost 15 pounds, she is only 13 pounds 5 ounces,(93%) she is still chubby but not that chubby!! She is 23 inches long (65%) and her head is 15 1/2 cm (58%) The doc changed her reflux medicine, so we are hoping this one will actually help her. She also got her shots today, it was so sad! I felt so bad for her. She slept forever after she got them, I think it helped.
My little bro went into the MTC today, that was really sad too. My dad and brother Brett were crying so hard. I'm really going to miss him. I love hanging out with him, he is the funniest kid. He will be a great missionary and I hope he does really well.
So all and all it was a sad day today.

Haylie's doctor is Stupid

So a few things to update... Haylie has had a little cold, which really sucks because you cant give anything to her and it makes me freak out it is something more. She started coughing on Tuesday night, then Wed. she coughed more and it continued to get worse. I stayed home from work on Friday and she cried all day long! I finally called the doctor at like 7:30 at night and they said she could be having a bad day or blah blah blah. So I just waited it out and she finally went to sleep. She didn't cry all day on Sat so I thought $30 dollars to hear I don't know whats wrong with her. Then he was saying we could go get an X-ray, ya let me spend another $500 for no freaking reason. So if you cant tell I'm super irritated by that. To top it all off Haylie has reflux, so she constantly throwing up all day. Apparently the doctor has known about it for awhile but just barely told Chris on Tuesday. He gave us some medicine for her which all it does is make her throw up even more. I really don't know what to do anymore. The poor little girl. They finally weighed her (they never do, the last time she was weighed was at 2 weeks, she is 9 now!) she almost weighs 15 pounds!!! She is in the 99.73% so pretty much she is obese! I love her fat though- her cheeks are the best!
On a good note we finally got some pic's of her smiling- really it is a miracle because when I get the camera out I think she knows and gets mad and wont be a happy girl.
Another thing going on is we are moving to Texas for the summer. Chris is going to try the summer sales thing and I will work in the office. I am really excited to go, I have never been anywhere so it will be a fun experience. We are leaving in April and coming home in August.
so I got some pictures of Haylie with Paizlie (Sammy my cousins baby) they are 6 weeks apart. Haylie is so much bigger than her, its so crazy how fast they grow! They both are so cute. We ended up having the same jammies so we got some pic's of it.

Blessing

We blessed Haylie on Sunday. It was really great. Chris did an awesome job, the blessing was so beautiful. TeRia started to cry, she is so cute. Chris's grandparents made it down for it, we were so grateful, his grandpa hasn't been doing very well so were really glad that he was doing good that day. He along with my grandpa, dad, Brady, Clayton, and uncle Mark stood in the circle with Chris. Brett wasn't able to make it, he was really missed. Haylie was pretty fussy that morning so I was really worried that she was going to cry during it. She ended up going to sleep right before church and when it came time for the blessing she woke up and just looked around the whole time. She did so good. I was so thankful she didn't cry during it. After church we went to the clubhouse and had lunch. It was nice to have our families and friends there. She slept pretty much the whole time, she did wake up towards the end so we were able to get some good pictures of her. Haylie is started to smile a lot more now, she is so cute! She is getting really chubby too! her cheeks are so fat and her legs are getting rolls on them. I love to kiss her cheeks! She is still pretty fussy, we are still working on formula's to see which one will help her. I feel bad because I know her belly is bugging her, but we don't know how to help. Its really hard to stay patient too, I struggle pretty bad with it. Hopefully it is just a phase and by 3 months she will be better, I keep praying for it at least.
I returned to work on Tuesday. It was great to be back. It's nice to get away for a little while, I know shortly I will really start to miss Haylie, but you have to do what you have to do. Not a lot more is going on, we didn't do much for Valentines day, Chris had to work late so we hung out with Jessica. Well that's all for now. I will update again soon.

5 Weeks

Haylie is now 5 weeks, she is almost 6 on Friday, its so crazy how time flies! She is still pretty fussy. I've tried everything so now we are trying out a medicine for her belly to see if it works, I really hope it does. The doctor thinks that's whats wrong with her. I take her Thursday for a check up on it, I will let you all know how it goes.
She is getting so big! Haylie is sleeping really good at night. I'm starting to try to put her on a schedule, she is sleeping like 7 hours at night. Chris and I feel really lucky she sleeps so well, hopefully we can get her to be a happy baby now.
My sister Jessica got her to smile a while ago, it melted my heart. Chris got her to smile too and I swear every time I tried to make her smile she cried. I was getting upset thinking she didn't like me, but finally the other day she smiled for me. It really made things a lot better.
Her hair is getting longer and its curly, I love it!! Well anyways I added more pic's to the slide show so make sure you check it out.

4 Weeks Old!

Well, Haylie is now 4 weeks old. How crazy is that? This past month has been really hard. Haylie is a pretty fussy baby, we kinda figured out why. I took her to the doctor after 1 week and come to find out her collar bone was cracked! Poor little girl, we have been really careful with it trying not to irritate it. At her 2 week check the doc said it is closed and it shouldn't bug her to move it anymore, but she still is fussy. So we are trying out a new formula to see if it will help at all. I really hope it does. So far she still hates getting a bath, changing her diaper, and getting dressed. pretty much she hates to be fussed with period! She is a stubborn little girl and yes she did get it from her mom, sorry! She has done a little better with the screaming, she actually has a cry- but most of the time its a scream. I try to get pic's of her when she is awake, but when she is awake she is fussy so I always take pic's when she is asleep. I added a slide show, if you didn't already notice so you can see more pic's of her. She has been doing pretty good at night, she slept for 7 hours the other night! We were hoping that she would do it again, but no. Even though she is a fussy baby, we love her so much. We are hoping that things will get better and she will start to enjoy life. Chris has been really good with her. He takes her when he gets home and gives me a break. He also gets up with her at night, what a good husband!! We are still trying to adjust to this new life, its getting better everyday. I am starting to learn patience- which I know is a miracle! Well not much more is happening, Chris is now 25 years old- ya he is getting old! I'm still off of work for another 4 weeks. We are blessing Haylie on February 15th, so if anyone wants to come our ward starts at 1:00. Let me know!

Welcome Haylie

Well on December 26th, 2008 at 2:27 pm we welcomed our new baby girl into the world. We named her Haylie TeRia Cook. She weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces and is 20 inches long. She is a pretty good sized baby! My labor and delivery went really well! My doctor ended up inducing me because I had high blood pressure and I'm sure he was probably sick of me complaining! Haylie is a really beautiful baby- at least I think she is. She was posterior so the doctor had to flip her with the forceps, her eye got a litt
le bruised. Chris has been so great with her. He is already wrapped around her finger.

We brought her home on Sunday and that night she screamed from
12:00-2:00 in the morning, that was not very fun. This first week has been really hard, we are trying to figure out her needs and what she wants. Haylie has some lungs on her too- she screams so loud! I guess she really is my kid. Everyday seems to get a little easier which we both are so grateful for. Well not much more to say other than we had the baby and things are going great. I will keep you all updated with pictures of her and the changes she goes through.
