4 Weeks Old!

Well, Haylie is now 4 weeks old. How crazy is that? This past month has been really hard. Haylie is a pretty fussy baby, we kinda figured out why. I took her to the doctor after 1 week and come to find out her collar bone was cracked! Poor little girl, we have been really careful with it trying not to irritate it. At her 2 week check the doc said it is closed and it shouldn't bug her to move it anymore, but she still is fussy. So we are trying out a new formula to see if it will help at all. I really hope it does. So far she still hates getting a bath, changing her diaper, and getting dressed. pretty much she hates to be fussed with period! She is a stubborn little girl and yes she did get it from her mom, sorry! She has done a little better with the screaming, she actually has a cry- but most of the time its a scream. I try to get pic's of her when she is awake, but when she is awake she is fussy so I always take pic's when she is asleep. I added a slide show, if you didn't already notice so you can see more pic's of her. She has been doing pretty good at night, she slept for 7 hours the other night! We were hoping that she would do it again, but no. Even though she is a fussy baby, we love her so much. We are hoping that things will get better and she will start to enjoy life. Chris has been really good with her. He takes her when he gets home and gives me a break. He also gets up with her at night, what a good husband!! We are still trying to adjust to this new life, its getting better everyday. I am starting to learn patience- which I know is a miracle! Well not much more is happening, Chris is now 25 years old- ya he is getting old! I'm still off of work for another 4 weeks. We are blessing Haylie on February 15th, so if anyone wants to come our ward starts at 1:00. Let me know!

Welcome Haylie

Well on December 26th, 2008 at 2:27 pm we welcomed our new baby girl into the world. We named her Haylie TeRia Cook. She weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces and is 20 inches long. She is a pretty good sized baby! My labor and delivery went really well! My doctor ended up inducing me because I had high blood pressure and I'm sure he was probably sick of me complaining! Haylie is a really beautiful baby- at least I think she is. She was posterior so the doctor had to flip her with the forceps, her eye got a litt
le bruised. Chris has been so great with her. He is already wrapped around her finger.

We brought her home on Sunday and that night she screamed from
12:00-2:00 in the morning, that was not very fun. This first week has been really hard, we are trying to figure out her needs and what she wants. Haylie has some lungs on her too- she screams so loud! I guess she really is my kid. Everyday seems to get a little easier which we both are so grateful for. Well not much more to say other than we had the baby and things are going great. I will keep you all updated with pictures of her and the changes she goes through.
